Getting here

  • Enter from Art Gallery Road
  • The closest train station is St James. The closest Metro station is Martin Place. Continue on foot to the gardens.
  • Roads near the gardens will close from early morning, plan ahead if catching taxis or rideshare. See road closure information.

Leaving the event

  • Closest train station is St James train station or Martin Place metro station. Follow directions of NSW Police and staff.
  • Buses leave from Wynyard, QVB and Hyde Park. Light rail services to the south east will leave from Central only after 7pm.
  • Pedestrian diversions are in place on New Year’s Eve. The way you arrive, may be different to how you get home. Be prepared for a longer walk to transport hubs.
